• Arbitration

  Arbitration is a shorter, usually less expensive, alternative to a trial. Parties offer evidence, including exhibits and testimony, and the arbitrator rules on the matter based on the evidence presented. Arbitration can take place before a single arbitrator or before a panel. Amy can serve as a single arbitrator or can assist the parties in deciding upon a panel of arbitrators. Arbitrations are billed on a half day or full day basis, with additional time billed hourly.
  
  

• Case Evaluation

  Unilateral or bilateral case evaluation can be useful at a number of different points in time. Amy can review your case materials and provide you with her assessment of the strengths and weaknesses of your case as well as her estimate as to the case’s value, if any. This allows you to make better decisions regarding whether to proceed to litigation or discovery, better appraisals of offers of settlement prior to trial, and better determinations regarding a case's likelihood of success on appeal. Amy bills on an hourly basis for case evaluation services.
  
  

• Conciliation

  Through conciliation, a neutral assists the parties in taking steps toward resolving some or all of their conflict. Conciliation often occurs as part of a court appointed program, or under a court order. Amy bills for conciliations on half day or full day basis, with additional time billed hourly.
  
  

• Facilitation

  Sometimes you know a conversation that you need to have will be challenging without someone to guide and direct it. Amy can make sure your discussion is productive, meaningful, and efficient while making sure everyone’s voice is heard. Amy bills for facilitations on a project by project basis. • Mediation

  Mediation is a facilitated discussion whose ultimate purpose is resolving an existing dispute, most frequently one that is already the subject of litigation. Amy mediates commercial, consumer, employment, and negligence cases. Mediations are billed on a half day or full day basis, with additional time billed hourly.
